Simon and I started going out together in the February of 2000 at around the same time as the filming first started so he was really thrown in the deep end. |
Chris Goddard - (aha Rich) spoke very well of his own experiences as a gay dad and also those of the guys he has known over the years. |
This whole saga in our lives started when we first met the film crew at a Pizza Hut in Northampton. It was going to be just a few weeks of filming with us and possibly another two couples. Reality turned into the whole program revolving around us and over three months of filming! |

| It started off with the Kids doing the breakfast as they normally do - they are very well trained! | A nice ordinary day. Some asked why it was we had our glasses on in bed when Matthew walked in? Let me tell you ... it is difficult not to be very aware that people are wandering around the house with TV cameras and we were not that sleepy so we knew we were supposed to be filmed in bed so we turned the TV on. | Matthew later gave a guided tour of the house and spoke of his feeling about his brother Jermaine being special needs. |

Now, we all know that nice Tony Kempson
... he runs UK-Motss you know!
He held a party and invited the film crew along. Ian got very attached to Tony's riding crop attempting to demonstrate (and failing) just how butch he really was. |

There were loads of little chats throughout the program and I can't really be bothered to work out what was being said all the time. I have heard it all before anyway! |

So ... you have to watch your Willi all night then Matthew? Good to know that your friends stuck up for you (bad choice of words) on that one. Simon thought though that Matts had to wash his Willi. |

There seem to be a few moments where I looked very serious ... well, I was! |
Here the camera got too close and I ended up showing off my double chin as I tried to back off into the sofa! |
This would be just about the time that DJ announced that her dolls tits were showing ... I have no idea where she get's it from - I blame the parents |

There were many moment spent in the car out and about. I always wondered what it was like to be interviewed while driving with a camera man sitting backwards in the front seat of the car and now I know! |

I never got around to getting a screen grab of it but there was one scene where the view switched from the front of the car to the back. The strange thing about that was that if you looked out of the windows you would have noticed that there was over a mile between the view out the front windows and that out of the back! |

I think the kids were great all the way through the making of the program. They never caused any problems with anything. |

Some thought that certain scenes were set up for the camera but I can honestly say that this very rarely happened. This occasion when Simon's divorce came through was not one of them |

We did invite the camera along to IKEA with us that same day but I don't think you can say that it was set up as we would have gone anyway they just tagged along |

This moment was take 2 - apparently I turned up too soon so I had to reverse down a one way street and arrive again! |

I should feel guilty really because the guys asked me to allow them to film me in a gay club and I sidestepped it and suggested that Kris just loved to go on Fridays and this is the result. |

Now things are not going well. The holiday was not good, even the weather was against us though you could not tell that from the film you watched. On the left was me talking about the divorce and on the right was Kris talking about how she felt about things. |

I did not feel comfortable with this shot at all ... We had been chatting for quite a while and my eyes were sore from being out in the sun. You may have noticed me take my glasses off. I then got the glasses really dirty so I left them off. Dom decided to finish the shot by walking slowly away tripping over things on the way and announcing how brilliant a shot it was! |
